Atento Uruguay and Unicef in favor of needy children
Within its Corporate Social Responsibility program named "Voces que Ayudan" (Voices that Help), Atento Uruguay cooperated with UNICEF making calls to collect funds for the Uruguayan television program "Todos por los niños uruguayos". The proceeds from this action will be employed by the welfare entity to fund actions for less favored children in Uruguay.
The assistance of the 300 Atento employees resulted in the collection of over $1,500,000 in funds. While during 2007 $4,500,000 was raised, in 2008 this sum exceeded $6,000,000, much beyond UNICEF's initial target.
